Let´s comment on communication.
Hi again. This is your first assignment. Remember last Friday´s oral presentation? Well, that is the first thing to comment about in the blog. Remember to compare two, or as many as you want, ways of communication and then comment on your classmates´opinions.Enjoy it!!

Well, I didn’t go to the last class, so I don’t know how the oral presentations were. I’m going to compare 2 ways of communication, but I’m not sure if this is the idea:
ReplyDeleteMobile phones are more convenient and interesting than regular phones because you don’t need to be at home to talk with others. You can plan meetings and many others things wherever you are. Besides, with modern mobile phones you can take pictures; send messages and images to your friends, listen music and more. However, mobile phones could be a little annoying, especially when you don´t want to talk with anyone. With mobile phones you don’t have excuse; you need to be available all the time. It is also irritating when people forget to turn off their mobile phone in a place where silence is request, especially when you’re seeing a movie or in the middle of a class. I think mobile phones are better than regular phones but you need to use it well and think in the persons around you.

In class I remember that I compare the e-mail and letters:
ReplyDeleteI like more the e-mail than letters because the e-mail is faster that letters, besides you can send many things as pictures, images, documents, another things. Also if you send the message to another person by e-mail, it can answer very quickly.
Also the e-mail is more unpersonal that letters because only you can see your e-mail, furthermore, in the e-mail you can connect with that person and have pleasant conversations.
Years ago was more important the letters but in this moment with the advances in technology is better e-mail.

During this class, I talked about the differences between a personal and physical conversation in instead of a virtual conversation, wheter on chat or facebook.
ReplyDeleteSince my own vision, I will always prefer a physical conversation because virtuality is nice but sometimes is annoying to me... I mean it's more impersonal if you wanna know someone. On the other hand, virtuality allows new ways to establish relationships that it could be more ephemeral and frosty; besides, some people prefer to have virtual sex but… I don’t know. I prefer to be in touch physically with another person because there is nothing more exiting that makes use of all your senses: you can touch, smell and see the person that you love.
I mean, it’s better to feel and share a physical contact with someone that you’re interested for that having sex for a web cam as a simulacrum of a relation between two persons but, in fact, in that situation you’re alone in front of a web cam having a masturbatory and egocentric relationship with yourself.

Reasons for pick a cell phone:
- Cell phone is more interesting than phone, because you can write text messages, listen music, and if you got a good cell phone, take pictures.
-If you got a good plan for your cell phone maybe it will be cheaper than phone.
-Cell phone is more usefull than phone, just you have to put it in your pocket and feel the vibration hahha :P.
-You can find the person you want easier if you call them by cell phone.
-And one of the most important things, you can put a ringtone, could be your favorite song, whatever you want, think! you can´t do that in a regular phone.

letters vs instant messaging:
ReplyDeleteI think instant messaging is faster than letters, but if there were an interruption on the internet service,it could be better to send a letter.
instant messaging is more interesting and nicer than letters 'cause you are talking in real time besides you can have a response right away.
letters could be cheaper than instant messaging because you have to pay for the internet service, furthermore letters are more personal than instant messaging..
Simple chat against webcam chat !
ReplyDeleteI think in a simple chat on msn have many desadvantages, for example, you don't know if you're talking with the correct person... many times happen that someone take the control of your laptop and start chatting with anyone and that is not privacity.
For that reason I prefer a webcam chat because you can see the person in a real time and you're 100% sure that you are talking with the correct person.
Also a webcam chat have another advantage and is this:
Many times we are tired for write and write in a pc, well with a webcam chat we can stop write and start a video call, with this tool we can talk like on a phone with our family, friends, coworkers, etc.
Finally I guess is important to know that we have many ways to chat, is not only one, simply we need a webcam and start using videocalls !

ReplyDeleteI think that both are good ways of comunication have advantages and disvantages.
The phone is a good way to comunicate with people, but is to expensive, because in this device you pay for the time that you talk, and in the webcam you pay the same price all months. Aditionally the webcam is more interesting, because you can talk and at the same time see the person who are you talking. And for me that aspect is very important, because in the webcam you can see if the person like to talk with you, thing that in the phone you cant do. For me is more comfortable the webcam, because you are sitting an talking, on the contrary in the phone, you are uncomfortable with the device in the ear.
Finally for me is better a webcam than a phone, but I think that the most important aspect is that we have many ways of comunication.
Cell Phone VS Phone
ReplyDeleteThe telephone or phone is a communication device that transmits and receives sounds, usually the human voice. This device has a microphone to speak into, an earphone to listen the voice of the other person, a keypad to enter the telephone numbers and a ringer to alert when a call is coming in. It was developed in1876 by Alexander Graham Bell.
The mobile phone or cell phone is a device which can make and receive telephone calls but this is smaller than the typical telephone so the people can take it with them all of the time. In general the mobile phones are very similar to the telephones. They have a microphone, an earphone, a keypad that is smaller than the phone’s keypad, an antenna and a small screen but they also have a battery which provides the power source for the phone functions and a SIM card.
The cell phone was developed around 1983 by Motorola Company, so it’s newer than the telephone.
Its main function is the same phone’s function but Mobil phone is more effective and practical than the other one because the people don’t need be in a house. Cell phones allow two or more people to communicate practically wherever they want so the communication by Mobil phones is easier and maybe faster than the communication by telephone.
Also the Cell phone is more fun than the telephone because it supports a wide variety of other services such as text messaging, internet access, photography and games. But it’s more expensive too.
